I feel as if Columbus Day should not be a holiday that we celebrate. I feel this way because Christopher Columbus killed many innocent Native Americans and stole their land from them without their permission. he also claimed that he discovered this land when clearly other people had already been here. Therefore, he did not discover the land, the Native Americans did.

We have Columbus Day to celebrate the finding of America, yet he did not even find it. This is the main reason that I think that we need to get rid of Columbus Day as a holiday.
