Forgive Student Loan for Healthcare Workers

Forgive Student Loan for Healthcare Workers
There is no doubt that our country has been hard hit by Covid19, in almost every sphere of society. Almost everyone has lost someone or something to the pandemic.
Through it all, first responders and healthcare workers have gone beyond the normal call of duty. Many were infected, gotten sick and many died. All of the stresses and pressures that society at large faced were also faced by healthcare workers, along with the responsibility of taking care of our fellow Americans.
After every party, march, meeting, election, and gathering, healthcare workers have been there for the sick and infected. Sometimes, that has even included our colleagues or loved ones. It has been hard.
We are not asking for special treatment, but we can definitely use some help. Doctors, Physician Assistants, Nurses Therapists, Social Workers and other healthcare professionals pay a high cost to be qualified and licensed to take care of our nation's health. Our student loans are some of the highest, as we often need to study for many years. We also often pay higher percentages of taxes. Additionally, we usually do not qualify for stimulus, low cost healthcare, or other social benefits.
Throughout this pandemic we have not had much help from the government, if any at all, while we continue to labor daily, risking our lives. It is therefore not unreasonable to ask for some relief from the burden of our student loans.
We are therefore asking you to please join us in calling this administration/ congress to give partial or complete student loan forgiveness to healthcare workers who labored and continue to labor in these difficult times.
Thank you.
