As a person who lives on planet earth, I need President Biden to tell the truth, that we are in a climate emergency.

Declaring a climate emergency by the highest elected official will bring needed attention to the climate emergency.  When the President speaks, the news media will follow.  The emergencies caused by climate change need to be discussed on TV talk shows, radio shows, news shows.

Every person on earth is affected, but particularly young people.  They will have to cope with the destruction that has already begun caused by fossil fuels increasing atmospheric carbon.

What happens if President Biden does not declare a climate emergency?  Continued inertia.  We will be lucky if the temperature only rises 2C.  1.5 C is looking nearly impossible.
