Every year millions of dollars and hours are wasted as Americans risk traveling to see friends and family, and then do it all again a month later. Why not combine these two holidays? This petition calls on the U.S. president and congress to officially change observation of Thanksgiving to the last Thursday in December and Christmas to the last Saturday in December (unless the last saturday is Dec 31st in which case we shift it all a week earlier). Additionally designate that entire week off as a federal holiday. 

We must end this scourge now.
