All slave owners plantations should be torn down.

All slave owners plantations should be torn down.

The plantation are still standing and and making money from tours and glorifying the luxury life of the slaves owners is very disrespectful. They homes should be torn down. Pictures should be recorded. It should have a plaque in its place and a memorial for the slaves who suffered there. Property should be used for something more useful for the community. I would question the sponsors of these dwellings about the money they collect from tours on whether or not do they give back to the underserved of the community. Personally I would never pay to visit any of these places with such a history. America should be so willing on glorifying the life of these former slave owners when they participated in such atrocities. The slaves built the homes for nothing and after working like a "slave all day" they were relegated back to less than substandard housing. Now they are having tours of the homes and not mentioning the horrendous lives of the slaves I move that this stops now. If a resolve cannot come about by tearing these plantations down, then the tours should be required to present the lives of both the slaves owners and slaves on totality. Its should mention how the slaves families were ripped apart by being sold like livestock and take them on tours of the slaves living conditions, tell them about the food they had to eat and the clothes they had to wear and the treatment of the slaves and how the treatment of slaves the transcends to the current condition of blacks in America today.
