Petition Closed

Throughout the country, police departments, acting on the order of local and state governmental officials, are engaging in brutality against peaceful citizens exercising their Constitutional rights to peaceably assemble and to freely express themselves. Police departments, which have been militarized by the federal government are engaging in blatant violation of the First Amendment to The Constitution of the United States. Peaceful citizens are being arrested in large numbers while exercising rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. Non-violent protesters are being brutalized. Citizens are being forcibly evicted from public spaces. Personal property is being destroyed and discarded.

We beseech you and the Justice Department adhere to your sworn oath to defend The Constitution by undertaking action to stop the unconstitutional actions being conducted against peaceful American citizens exercising their Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.
