President Barack Obama has publicly stated that he supports gay marriage. He is honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America, which in July 2012 refused to change its discriminatory exclusion of gay scouts and scout leaders. By resigning from the honorary Presidency of the Boy Scouts, President Obama would signal that as President of all Americans, including all boys of America, he withdraws his endorsement of a group that excludes people based on sexual orientation.
