Saudi Arabia has just increased the punishment of a rape survivor from 90 lashes to 200 lashes, plus a six-month prison sentence, for the "crime" of speaking out in her own defense, through her attorney. One source for this may be found here: http://www.examiner.com/article/victim-sentenced-200-lashes-by-saudi-court?cid=db_articles -- and others may be found with a Google-search for "Saudi Arabia rape 200 lashes," or similar search terms.
This is by no means the first crime against humanity -- in particular, the female majority of humanity -- committed by Saudi Arabia, a long-time ally of the United States. The USA should not maintain alliances with any nation that commits such atrocities.
We call upon the Obama Administration to use executive orders, and/or propose legislation, to do the following things to punish Saudi Arabia for this particular act, and their atrocious record on human rights: (1) end all foreign aid to Saudia Arabia, (2) suspend diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, and (3) levy economic sancions against Saudi Arabia -- until and unless Saudi Arabia begins to treat its women as what they are: actual human beings.
In addition, we call upon the Obama Administration to improve the human rights record of the United States, for the simple reason that it is the right thing to do.
