Jun 6, 2015 — Dear supporter of our campaign to save the historic site of Mes Aynak,

First of all let me thank you for your support by signing our petition and creating more awareness about the the upcoming destruction of the historic site of Mes Aynak in Afghanistan.

With your support, we have managed to delay the start of the copper mining and have gotten more time for the archeology efforts! And just this week the Ministry of Mines has finally published the Mes Aynak contract on its website. We have delivered the signatures to former president Karzai’s office in 2013 and to UNESCO headquarters in 2014.

We carry on with our campaign to create more awareness and support, inside and outside Afghanistan, for the historic site of Mes Aynak.

To build up momentum we are now partnering with others who share our goal.

Be part of history and please continue to support our petition, invite your friends to sign it, also support the UNESCO petition of the Association for the Protection of Afghan Archaeology:

And join Brent E. Huffman, the director of the documentary “Saving Mes Aynak” who has launched an indiegogo campaign that will climax on July 1st 2015. That day will be named #SaveMesAynak day. He and his team aim to have the documentary viewed at as many places on the planet as possible, creating a mass global awareness of Mes Aynak. Please join us all at http://igg.me/at/savemesaynak in watching the film and in sharing and supporting Brent’s campaign!
