My husband had a blood clot in 2017 in his leg which was treated effectively. In early 2022 we caught covid.. symptoms were pretty mild.

Just 3 months later my husband Daniel died on Father’s Day from multiple pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in the lungs) the staff in the hospital told us that covid is causing a huge rise in patients coming into hospital with blood clots in the first 12 months after being infected due to the blood being thicker after infection. 
Due to the previous blood clot he was at huge risk of this happening but we were unaware of this awful complication. Had we have known and requested his GP to prescribe blood thinning medication after being infected with covid it’s likely he would still be with us.

Every person in this risk category should be automatically given this medication if they contract covid 19 this could save lives and prevent so many families going through the horrendous pain we are going through.

Dan has been taken away from myself his wife of 14 years and his 3 daughters aged 13,10 and 4 years old. Our life and world will never be the same.
