As all Ontarians know, thanks to our previous government Hydro rates in Ontario are some of highest in Canada. Many citizens are actually fighting through what is termed as Energy Poverty, having to decide to heat their homes or buy food ,a stark choice in a province as rich as Ontario. Recently Hydro One has purchased a small local power generator in their quest to "consolidate all power generators with the result that these small towns/ cities will now be paying usurious hydro rates. . Mr. Ford ,as the province is still a major shareholder of Hydro One, please force them to cease and desist on the purchase of smaller power generators and advise all Mayors in Ontario that they can no longer put hydro generators up for sale ,without a referendum that has a  result 70% of their voting population in accord. Failing that restructure the OEB to reflect the wishes of Ontario's citizens.
