Call for Government to commit to halve youth homelessness by 2020

Each night over 44,000 young people across Australia find themselves without a safe place to sleep.
Unfortunately, a safe home and a warm bed aren't a reality for many young West Australians. In fact, on any given night up to 6,000 young West Australians don’t have a place to call home. Although the reasons why are varied, more often than not being homeless is considered a safer option than staying at home.
We are calling for the Government to pledge to half this number by 2020.
By developing new policies to tackle the issue of youth mental health issues and providing more social housing, this target could be achievable and could save West Australian community over $88 million dollars per year.
Please support our call for the government to take action now.
