The outbreak of COVID-19 means it’s unlikely many more football matches will be played in front of fans.

If this is the case, no fans will be present to watch Liverpool lift the League title at Anfield against Chelsea since it is the last home game of the season.

Instead, Liverpool should be allowed to lift the League title when it is mathematically won, be it against Everton at Goodison or at home against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

It’s unlikely many more games will go ahead with fans, and given people have waited 30 years to see Liverpool lift the Premier League, it shouldn’t be done in an empty stadium if there’s a chance to hand them the title when they have already technically won it!
