Petition update

18 Days and still no independent AODA review!

Kathryn Bremner
Ontario, Canada

Jun 18, 2013 — It is now 18 days since the Kathleen Wynne Government has failed to fulfil its obligation to appoint an Independent Review of the implementation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act due May 31, 2013, as is required by section 41 of the AODA. In effect, they are snubbing their noses at disabled people and their friends and families. Are we going to allow this to happen? Thanks to all of you, we are now at 189 signatures and because our momentum has grown to this point, the petition has just been sponsored by a supporter in Canada and is now being promoted to other users on We have coast-to-coast signatures from almost every province showing their support. What we need is to keep the numbers growing and so I urge you to keep encouraging YOUR contacts to sign the petition and get the word out to as many of YOUR networks as possible - parent groups, agencies, children's rehab centres in your area...even your local media. Collectively we can do this!
