The funding has always been distributed in an inequitable way. This would address that. Too late for my child but would help the autistic children suffering daily in public schools.

I’m signing because our political parties need to do their jobs to help keep our children and families safe!!! Wake the heck up and support the families who have chosen to keep children at home during this DIFFICULT and unprecedented time and help us educate our children! This is ridiculous!

We can't chance sending him to school, he lives in a multi generational home with a great grandparent. He will fall farther behind without supports, families need the finincial/educational/theraputic support that the school gets if it's not safe for them to attend, or they can't provide the needed services. Kids need the therapy more than ever but few families can afford to pay the costs.

I am mother of a grade 10 student at École Moscrop Secondary School, in Burnaby. I’m signing the petition because at this moment my family is a frustrated and desperate.
Our daughter has been studying in French immersion since kindergarten and would like to continue her education in French. My husband and I are immunocompromised and we are very concerned that at this point the only option for her to study from home (the at home learning for medical reasons program provided by Burnaby school board) which is in English only. I have been reaching out to the school board to see which options are available for her to learn in French and there is absolutely nothing available.
This means she either has to attend school in person or give up her Double Dogwood diploma. I believe it is very unfair to make her chose between her studies or our family’s well being. I know we can be advocate for us parents for our children and for teachers too, to every school board in BC to help us receive an at home learning for French Immersion students and for any other student who requires an online education.
The life of our children and teachers are priceless!
