I have just moved from Hastings Sunrise to the Downtown Eastside. Every day here I see at least 200% more physically disabled people. I don't believe this is a coincidence.

We can do far better for our most vulnerable. Hike the rates and build a progressive tax system.

All Canadians s/b guaranteed minimum of annual poverty line level support and shelter through tax support income assistance. Expect this from an NDP majority government in BC in the year 2021!

Ending poverty ought not to be done little bits at a time. End it right away. Easy to do if you have the will. Social democrats ought to have the will.

As a retired union representative I know that current minimum wage is too low to sustain a family - even with two earners.

I thought the NDP was wanting to end poverty, How do thy expect us to live?? with the increases in Fortis gas, food, property taxes, utilities etc its impossible, not to mention hydro rates and gasoline. Raising rates helps keep the medical down as with an increase we can eat better etc, I for one am tired of false promises from corrupt governments,
