We the undersigned asks you, Premier Horgan to be proactive and take down the queen victoria statue glorifying Colonialism located on the grounds of the BC Legislature.

Simple enough to learn from recent events in the US South.

After enough of the Racist Confederate statues were toppled, politicians started proactively taking down these statues.

The Statue has already been splashed with paint in protest. The Cook statue across from the Empress was toppled. The queen victoria statue in Manitoba was also toppled. Both toppled on July 1st.

This is an excellent time to signal your government intends to take down these public displays of colonialism on grounds you control.

As shown in the US South, Government proactively taking down these statues glorifying the oppression of others can help in healing the trauma inflicted over generations.
