The province will be conducting a comprehensive review of the photo enforcement system in Manitoba.

Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler announced Wednesday the review will look at the policy, legislative, and program frameworks regarding photo and non-photo enforcement activities. However one specific evaluation will focus on the effectiveness of photo enforcement in meeting road safety objectives.

It is time for Winnipeg drivers to stand up and tell the Government of Manitoba to end the unfair tax scheme that hurts drivers and helps no one except for the City of Winnipeg’s bottom line.

Many of the placements of these photo radar vehicles protect absolutely nothing and they only park in those particular places because it’s a great place to gauge drivers.

It’s time to end the reckless photo enforcement tax on Winnipeg drivers.
