Our seniors, fixed income families and even well earning locals are facing a housing crisis because New Brunswick does not have rental regulations in place to protect tenants.

We want Premiere Higgs to impose a rent increase cap of 4% in order to provide IMMEDIATE safe, affordable housing or resign. Civil Servants serve the community. Right now our community is suffering needlessly; especially the sick and vulnerable that are facing needless housing issues and homelessness because the Premiere cannot simply create rental regulations to protect our community like other Provinces do. The majority of Provinces across Canada protect renters but New Brunswick doesn't. Why?

We demand an immediate solution or an immediate resignation.

This is an invitation for the Premiere to show the community he is working for that he cares; this is a valuable opportunity to connect with locals and serve the best interests of the community by protecting them from unreasonable rent increases immediately.
