I'm a father that is fighting to get his 5 year old in school.  The mother did not allow our child in pre-school and now we are fighting in court about kindergarten. The mother thinks she is qualified to home school but had no education and or proper training to do so.  In the State of Michigan it is not mandatory for kids to be in pre-school or kindergarten.  This needs to change and become mandatory as our kids futures are in our hands.  Teachers have the wisdom and knowledge to teach and the court system should not be able to dictate weather my kid goes to school or not.  If my child does not enter kindergarten she will fall behind as she enters first grade without any schooling.
