Leonardo DiCaprio posts about our Climate Protest
Dec 10, 2019 —
On 5th November, over 1500 of us collected at the India Gate in Delhi to protest against the toxic air we were breathing in Delhi. This was a cry of protest from children, and adults, asking the Government for our right to breathe clean air.
But why am I sharing updates of a protest I helped organise over a month ago?
Just recently, Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio spoke about this same protest via an Instagram post. While the climate crisis in India is grabbing the attention of media and influencers within India and abroad, it's our authorities that are choosing to remain silent on this issue.
Year after year our city faces this problem, and it just gets worse. We continue to protest on the streets, but we see no action. It's also the support I get from people like you who have signed this petition that keeps me going.
I am not going to give up this fight and my right for a clean future. I hope that you can continue supporting me by sharing my petition.
Keep fighting for people power!
