Lack of women participation in the working arena

These days people in the society keep saying that girls are becoming smarter than boys. It's true but why stop them from doing jobs then. They also deserve to be independent and make themselves capable managing their own expenses.
In my village, If a certain girl has completed BSc., they think she is ready for marriage and then stop her future from progressing any further. That in turn shows up in the form of lack of women participation in the workforce of the nation. Similarly, there are many places in India where people are reluctant when it comes to the point about the girl earning money.
This is a problem which has to be dealt at the grassroot level. In short, this is the next level of girl child empowerment.
