Delhi University teachers on strike, putting student's futures at stake.

Delhi University Teachers Association has long been on strike against privatisation. Situation is worsening day by day, whilst the evaluation boycott has started affecting the careers of current students. Final year students are the ones who are most affected by this compulsive situation, as they require their result to pursue further studies and career paths.
Giving no regard to students who are planning to go abroad for further studies who must have their results by the month of June, DUTA choose to fall this low for their personal good. How can Delhi University be a place to teach ethics and morale, when teachers choose such tactics for their own personal welfare?
As the studies of numerous internationally reputed universities begins in the month of July, students who have paid their fees and made all the arrangements are stucked in a helpless situation. These students who represent India in some host country, will lag in the race of excellence because of some menial selfishness. List of high achivers from Delhi University who has made India proud on an international level is very long. From Sunder Pichai, CEO of Google, of Shri Ram College of Commerce to Amitabh Bachchan of Kirori Mal College. Unfortunately this list is going to be at halt this year!
We respect the opinions of DUTA, and their will to pursue their own welfare. But, is resorting to such tactics the only option to make authorities hear you? India, being a democratic country, is undubitably governed by people. But why would government heed to the requests made by a section of public, which makes a demand by putting a knife to the throat other section of the public? Instead of garnering student support, DUTA is virtually blackmailing the government, by threatening the future of students.
I request teachers not to delay the results of final year students. They should instead gather the support of all students and make the athourities listen to your demands.
I am one of the student who is currently facing the same situation, as many other thousands are. Let us students join our hands against this deed of DUTA.
