First of all a warm greeting to everyone reading this and a special shout out for all PG doctors across the state.

Now since the RGUHS, Bengaluru exam schedule has been made official the exam going batch that is post graduates batch of 2019-2022 are under the stress of facing exams on May 7.

This batch of postgraduates have gone through a lots of off road path during their academic journey of being a postgraduate.

Since their first year of post graduation there came this nightmare which shook the whole world i.e. Covid -19 in which they were an active part in managing the crisis across the state to their full capacity. For sure which wouldn’t have been possible without your guidance and support. A large chunk was even effected by the disease physically and even mentally. The wave was subsiding and hope in the postgraduates across the state was emerging to bring back their derailed academics into the track at least now and get the clinical acumen which they were supposed to acquire.
Then came the second wave of Covid-19 which was more devastating and tiring again. For desperate situations need desperate measures, the postgraduates never gave a second thought in serving the patients and worked as required to tackle the crisis situation of Covid -19 across the state. But their academics was at stake and everyone was in a helpless position. Surgical branch students couldn’t enter the operation theaters for months, medical branch students couldn’t treat and learn the cases of academic interest which they were supposed to.

Later when there was a Covid free period the time they got was not adequate and third wave emerged into the play and again postgraduates had to be there. Now as the wave peaked off and the exam schedule was announced it has traumatized the state of mind of many students. The current exam going batch as called by many Profs being the COVID batch doesn’t seem to be ready and gather their preparedness with the very little they have learnt due to the unavoidable circumstances.

Being the Voice of the current exam going batch, we request you to reconsider the exam dates and give them a little extra time to be prepared and gather the clinical acumen and skills which they are ought to. Kindly be considerate enough to postpone the scheduled exams by 6-8 weeks.

Our petitions so far to the administration has fallen on deaf years.

We 2019-2022 batch resident doctors of Karnataka have been working as corona warriors since we got admission in to our PG course.

Our academics, clinical postings , surgical procedures have been severely affected by the COVID 19 pandemic through out our PG course. Our work stress has been immense as our junior batch admissions are delayed for almost 10 months now and final exams are to start on 7th of may. we are still working as second year resident doctors.

Keeping in mind the aforementioned difficulties, we 2019-2022 PG batch students once again request you to extend our academic year and extends our exam dates for atleast 6-8 weeks ( to July 2022) to compensate for our loss during our PG course.
