COVID-19 hit us in March 2020 and we were confined to our houses. Despite what others might say, the online mode of teaching proved ineffectual. This coupled with the uncertainties regarding our examinations rendered us hapless. We were caught between preparing for our boar exams and competitive exams. The CBSE and CISCE held two separate exams in the 2021-22 session, inadvertently disrupting the flow of our studies. What this has resulted in is our unpreparedness for KVPY and other competitive exams. 

JEE and IAT were postponed days before their supposed commencement because they clashed with our board exams. NEET dates weren't declared until last month; it is scheduled to be held on July 17, a very reasonable date. 

But KVPY is on May 22. It is clashing with our exams. We hardly received sufficient time to prepare for it. We are at a serious disadvantage.

We request the Ministry of Education and IISc to consider postponing the examination to June or July.
