Dear all,

I’m starting this petition for setting up a post office facility in Tadpole Garden Village (TGV), Swindon. Since the start of this housing development around seven years from now, a sizeable community now resides here. The number of dwellers are increasing, and the establishment will eventually grow into 1,700 homes by 2024.

With such a significant sized community, there is no post office in the area and the nearest post office is 2.4 miles away in Abbey Meads. Being one of the residents of TGV, I must drive all the way to Abbey Meads for posting a letter or a parcel.

While such facility should be within walkable distance for the residents, driving to it contributes to the environmental pollution and causes congestion of roads and parking space. Having a post office nearby will privilege the community, increase their access to service and avoid the detrimental effects on the environment.

I’m seeking all the residents of Tadpole Garden Village and adjacent areas to support this petition.
