Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich successfully became a citizen of Portugal last year. Portuguese Ministry of Justice already launched an enquiry into legitimacy of granting citizenship to Abramovich. We demand this citizenship to be revoked.

Abramovich is one of Russia's richest oligarchs with net worth $12.4bn. He is a confidant of the current Russian leader Vladimir Putin and as such is to blame for supporting Russia's policy and invasion of Ukraine.

Abramovich enriched himself in the years following the collapse of the Soviet Union, obtaining Russian state-owned assets at prices far below market value in Russia's controversial loans-for-shares privatization program. Abramovich was a confidant of former Russian president Boris Yeltsin and current  leader Vladimir Putin. This is not a lawful, naturalised citizen any country should be proud of. We demand from Portugal to reconsider it's decision.
