Thousands and thousands of people including me, have been waiting for a Portugal embassy to at least work on their visa process like any other country's embassy if they cannot expedite the process. Some of us have been waiting for 2 years and some for more than a year to either book appointments with VFS and some waiting for their Visa approval. We understand that Covid-19 has impacted every country in every sector but we can also see a lot of improvement over the past 1 year in almost all of the country. And since then, appointments and visa processes in most of the country have been working well, and also they do their best to expedite the process for the people waiting to apply for the visas post-covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we do not see that happening or coming anytime soon with the Portugal embassy. So, we the people who have been waiting for the last 2 years have tried our best to reach out to the embassy for assistance via email and social media platforms. However, we all get the same response i.e., "To wait" and they have been very rude to the citizens waiting to go just to meet their families. That's it. Their process has greatly impacted everyone waiting to go to Portugal to meet our family whom we couldn't see for 2 years and also putting us in a situation where cannot plan or work in our own country as we never know when the appointments and visa will be open. So, many of the citizens who have applied for Portugal visas are stuck which has impacted our life financially(hoping they would open anytime soon, many of us left our job and has been waiting for appointments and visas), mentally, and also in our career. A newly married couple I know has not been able to be together for more than a year now which is sad. 

We believe in the Portugal embassy so we gave up everything we have in your country just to go to their country to meet our dear family and we have been trying our best from our side by paying extra money to agencies. However, as the Portugal embassy doesn't open the appointments nor expedite their visa process, many of us have been impacted and would like to appeal to the embassy to not the citizens wait any longer and to help the citizens like the other countries. And we want them to digitalize everything to make work faster and also open the appointments as soon as possible so we can also plan our daily or monthly tasks properly. Furthermore, to not delay any longer in issuing visas for people who have been waiting for years and years.

Hence, we request everyone and also the friends and family members who have been impacted by the process of the Portugal embassy work system that has impacted many citizens mentally, financially, and also in their careers to help us and support us in this.
