We the undersigned are opposed to the closure of hartgill seafood or any other plans following to loose such a fantastic business founded since 1998 .

Hartgill seafoodhave been given 1 month notice to leave there very well run  business after 21 years  due to the council wanting to put this property up for auction  the higest bidder will win this  space .

The community of portsea,local visitors and tourists make great use of this business year after year .and we can't stress enough the importance of our history and how well hartgill seafood fits in .

Being such a kind hearted person bim is we as a community fear the loss of this .due to the nature of him , Homeless get hot drinks and a chat .locals will always get what they want even of they don't have enough change.  Children are never left out . Bread is often given to the children to feed the birds . Pots are given for children to hold the crabs and shells before being put back into the sea . Theres never a bad word said against bim and as a community we love him  and can not imagine him having to leave a new buisness will not work as well with tthe comunity as bim does .

The hut is also used by fishermen a place they use to get changed and take shelter during fishing trips . We also use this place as a meeting point where the community   one together eat,drink , laugh and talk about life experiences.
