Mothers are busy people, we breastfeed our children when they are hungry where ever we are. When mothers have separation from our children we need to express our breastmilk. In 2011 the US Surgeon General issued a Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding in the United States. Due to the superior, nutritional & immunological value of human milk the entire community are stakeholders when it comes to breastfeeding mothers being successful. The promotion, protection and support of breastfeeding makes sense economically when the projected savings of 13 billion dollars a year to healthcare costs are considered. These savings will occur when women are able to meet their breastfeeding goals and optimal infant feeding practices.
