Demand for Porterville City Councilmen to let the LGBTQ proclamation stand

Porterville, CA is a smaller city nestled off the beaten path between Bakersfield and Fresno, CA. This past City Hall meeting on June 4th the LGBTQ population was recognized as a part of the community for it's contributions and ultimately recognizing Pride Month via the very first proclamation. Please note that this proclamation was solely signed by Porterville's Mayor Virginia Gurrola. It is customary the rest of City Council signs but not required.

This coming Tuesday June 18th the City Councilmen who went on public record that they personally did not approve of this proclamation are trying to rescind that very same proclamation.

A copy of the proclamation, video from the City Council meeting, and the full article can be found here: http://gayporterville.com/news/local

Please show your support for the Mayor and the LGBTQ population of Porterville, CA by signing this petition.
