Tonya Clark started this petition to PATTY POTS for the Homeless

The Homeless community downtown Atlanta Ga.. is at an alarming high. One particular  area of interest is the bridge located near  Coca-Cola and Pratt ave. Near Grady Hospital on Jesse Hill Drive.

The Homeless Community are having  to 'Relieve' Themselves  directly on the sidewalk by the gate. Because there is no other place for them to go. Nearby buisness do not allow the homeless to use their facilities due to the possibility of complaints from customers.

This  is troubling since there is a City ordinance  in place.

106.130 Defecating or Urinating on public Property or in areas..  ' It is unlawful  for any person to dedicate or urinate on the streets or sidewalks or in the halls of elevators of public or commercial buildings or on any Property open to public view of the city. (Code 1977) 17-3011.

This is the  Law!. The homeless should be given proper means or methods of relieving themselves so they want have to break the law.   The Homeless are not animals and should not be treated as such. Let's help them begin to rebuild their self-worth  by requesting  that Porta Pots be placed in designated areas...to make their Hard Days a bit easier.

Thanks
