I worked for CoPP on and off for years. They have set a high standard for quality of ECE, care and safety for children and their families that no private or nfp centre could ever compete with. Through these centre, many families become active within their communities, regards of their backgrounds or differences. Keep the centres as is!

I haven’t, dont, and will in all probability never have children. But affordable childcare is a *must* for any community that cares about family welfare, giving children a decent start in life, and supporting working mums. This isn’t altruistic either - we all benefit from communities that take care of children and women.
