Reform the catholic churches attitude towards celibacy and homosexuality.
Celibacy forces priests into unnatural and unhealthy living conditions where guilt and self-loathing over sexual feelings makes them vulnerable. Coupled with latent homosexuality, and hence further and deeper self-loathing given the churches archaic attitude towards homosexuality, the inherent risks of sexual abuse of the vulnerable is historically clear. The church needs to remove celibacy and reform its attitude towards homosexuality so that it can continue to play an important role into the future in a modern world where the love and non-discriminatory respect of our fellow man and woman, irrespective of their sexuality, should be the churches core focus.
