This petition was made for the Pope to issue an apology on behalf of all residential schools survivors as well as any other Indigenous individual. In Canada, Residential schools have been a problem since 1880 and is something that no Indigenous person will ever forget. Their traumas still aren't being acknowledged enough and is something no one should have to ever go through.
