There few women in political and leadership positions in Nigeria.  Why there is need for women in political position.

1. As about half of population are women (48.5%), their participation in Politics will create power balance between Genders
2. Women political participation will build a sustainable strong democracy and assist in policy development and implications that  would benefit them. Solutions to this problem is to Amend policies, protocols, conventions and adoption of quota system and affirmative action
