Ian Newnham started this petition to Politicians

I would like this to be passed so that politicians can’t make expense claims for unnecessary items.
For example eye tests, rent when they own several properties especially where they work.
Too many politicians are taking advantage of what they claim for when certain items should come out of their £80,000 salary.

Bob Seely, politician for the Isle of Wight claimed over £500 for three eye tests and two pairs of glasses in just over a three week period! Why should they be able to claim for expenses like this and not pay it out of their own salary?

There are too many people in poverty and relying on food banks and donations in this current situation and then you have politicians claiming for items that they should pay for out of their own pocket and not through tax payers money.
