Missing Children Alerts sent out to all New Zealanders and included on the Evening TV News

Recently we had a young boy go missing, it was reported to missing persons pages on Social Media mid afternoon and the word was spread quickly bringing in a number of volunteers from local and surrounding areas. I was incredibly disappointed to see that it was not 'A leading News Story' at 6pm that evening, in fact missing people are rarely mentioned on the news, But it was "leading news' the next day, once the young boy was actually found after his night out alone. I think that we can and must do better for our young and vulnerable members of society. This is a petition to parliament for a call to action on some of New Zealand’s most vulnerable - addressing mandating the equivalent to an ‘Amber Alert’ for any missing child here in New Zealand. Cases of which are currently not given anywhere near enough Nation-wide news coverage to increase fast, wide and potentially life saving response from the public eye when we require the highest level alert level and this is already beyond severely needed. This needs to change by law and from the level of our government body, Prime minister and cabinet it is critical to produce an app for mobile phones ensuring in those first crucial hours we are getting the message across and to regulate media black-out coverage to interrupt any live feed broadcasts immediately (radio, television) as well as all possible coverage on every social media link.
Please Sign this Petition and share, we wish to achieve vital Amber Alerts for Children and Vulnerable persons quickly and efficiently, with immediate Coverage on Radio, as immediate teletext on channels 1,2 and 3, and leading our Live National TV News
Thank you
