It is time our GP surgeries opened their doors to allow patients to to see them..
It is time our GP surgeries opened their doors to allow patients to to see them..

Have you tried to book an appointment to see your GP or even get a telephone consultation lately?
If you have you know it's virtually impossible..you call at the time the surgery states along with everyone else only to find an engaged tone..if you are lucky enough to be number 37 or whatever in the queue its more than likely that after waiting for 40 minutes or more you will be greeted with "I'm sorry but we have no more appointments today"
This is not good enough..this is not how our national health service was meant to be..its time that GPS stopped hiding and started doing their job.
Just a thought why can't we have surgeries 7 days a week..
Why cant we have GPS working a shift system..
Is it any wonder that poor hospital casualty departments are so very busy if we can't get to see our own Doctor...what other choice can we make.
Ever tried to call with a prescription query?? To be greeted with " I'm sorry the Doctor needs to approve this and he's not in for two days "
Try getting your ears syringed at your GPS...no longer a service they offer..but you can go to Specsavers and they will do it for £55.00
The list can go on and on...please can our government bring back a national health service that we can be proud of and use when we need .
