The ABC has been a trusted source of information for a long time, but never more so than recently than now as it gives us information on the coronavirus, how to stay safe and protect our families. This comes at the end of a disastrous season of bushfires, floods and drought when we all needed the 24 hour coverage that ABC radio and TV was there to provide. Many of us owe so much to the ABC's broadcasts, and not least those in Government who use it to disseminate vital health and bushfire information.

Isn't it time Federal politicians realised how loved is the ABC as a trusted source of information, and restored the funding it deserves and needs? 

Especially at this time when so many in the arts and entertainment industries are struggling, a sizeable grant to the ABC with an allocation for Aussie music and drama would help so many unemployed who work in the industry and now have NO job, No Jobseeker and no prospects. We might even get better TV and fewer repeats as a consequence - what a blessing.
