It would be much more helpful if candidates would tell us what they are going to do for us, rather than carp  on gossip about their opponents.

Much of what candidates tell us about their opponents is biased or totally false.  The news media keeps us informed of all the "gossip" about any of the candidates.  We voters could make more intelligent decisions if we knew what the candidates actually stood for.  We need to know if they are honest and if they really care about us and our communities and states.  We need to know that the candidates we choose are supporting us and our needs.

We need our political representatives to realize that nothing gets done in congress if no one is willing to work together or compromise on issues.  We need to know what our candidates expect to accomplish, and who they will work with to achieve their goals.

A congress that works together amicably will accomplish much more than a congress whose main goal is promoting their political party or getting re-elected..  Voters are tired of their  inability to come to an agreement at the expense of their constituency.  

These negative political ads only serve to exacerbate animosity in our communities, our states, and our country.  They are not informative and do not promote the politicians who air them.
