Hats in BCHS

Hats in BCHS
We want to have hats in school. If girls can wear dog collars, stomach high leggings, and crop tops that violate the school dress code daily, then wearing hats shouldn’t be a problem. The old argument that ”hats disrupt the class” or that teachers “can’t see your face” due to a hat is just untrue. We wear masks every day, and somehow we still can tell who we are talking to.. If anything, masks are more of a distraction then hats ever were. The fact such a insignificant piece of clothing draws enough attention to be told to take off, and be the topic of a whole entire petition is just dumb in itself.
Oh, and don’t start to uphold the dress code now that attention is on it, there were no “distractions” before and there shouldn’t be any now. That isn’t the point.
A typical conversation about hats is as follows:
*B Walks by*
A: “Take off your hat”
B: “Why”
A: “Because it is policy”
B: “Why”
A: “Because (insert some arbitrary dusty reason)”
B: Alright. *Takes hat off*.
*A walks away*
*B puts hat back on*
TLDR : The rule about no hats is dumb.
