We feel the need to have a skate park in Scotia. The reason for this is because all of the good "skate spots" in scotia are on private property and we are likely to get kicked out from there. Another reason is that if we had a skate park in Scotia it would bring a community together because there is a lot of skaters in scotia and two new skate shops. The skate park could take place at the abandon field hockey rink next to the parking lot near the baseball fields, near the scotia truck yard next to the middle school, or on the right side of the Maalwyck Park below the soccer fields. This would impact skateboarding in Scotia because we would have a designated spot to skate and we couldn't get in trouble or get kicked out for skating there.
