The police federation refuse to donate £1 million pounds they pledged to the police memorial

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

The Police Federation of England and Wales, which represents 120,000 rank-and-file officers, had pledged to give up to £1million towards the cost of building a new £4.5million ‘police cenotaph’ to remember 4,000 fallen officers.

The piece in today’s Daily Mail (8/12) reveals how the Police Federation of England and Wales have gone back on a pledge to fund a memorial to police officers killed on duty. The families of officers who have put their lives on the line for us have called it an act of ‘betrayal’. Please Help change the Police Federations mind by signing and sharing this petition . The organisation that apparently has million of pounds sitting in the bank needs to step up and fund this memorial to commemorate those police officers who have laid down their lives to keep us safe.

With £16.5million in ‘central reserves’ and a £26million HQ in Leatherhead, Surrey, the Police Federation of England and Wales could hardly be described as impoverished.
