I’m starting this petition in honor of my Sister Ryan Lynn Weaver who was a victim to Domestic Violence… I’m starting this petition to hopefully make some changes in the Police Department, Hospitals, Domestic Violence Shelters around the World. This has become a huge problem so many Women, Men & Children are losing their lives due to Domestic Violence. I believe this should be taken more seriously and not swept under the rug. They leave it up to the victim but what Victim really speaks up, Most are afraid, Embarrassed or They already been broken down to low self esteem & other emotional issues they don’t speak on to anyone including their families. I witnessed first hand the problems of turning the other cheek or saying “ The victim has to speak up since my sisters passing February 15th 2019 I’ve started Ryan’s Dream Foundation for Domestic Violence Victims & families. I take this issue very serious cause countless times I tried to be my sisters voice and nooone respected it because “ I WAS NOT THE VICTIM” I believe anyone should be able to intervene & stand up for these Victims. I believe stricter laws should be enforced to Domestic Violence Offenders, They get less time than Drug Dealers & get our an continue abusing the next victim. I believe hospitals should have a better protocol when it comes to Women coming in emergency rooms daily with serious injuries and NO they don’t mention their abusers out of FEAR but you know when someone is abused or when someone had an accident to different scenarios. I’m trying to help any other family to not have to face the horrific horrors of losing their family, friends or loved ones to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE… Please join me today & sign my petition to create new laws and regulations & HELP SAVE SOME LIVES.
