Stop The Loudspeaker Menace In Bhakti Park!

We, the residents of Bhakti Park, Wadala East would request you to disallow the permission to play loud music at the Cricket Ground at Bhakti Park.

We whole heartedly support sports activities but fail to understand the need for loudspeakers. How is it acceptable to play loud music for 20-30 spectators and inconvenience 1000 residents of Bhakti Park?

Over the past one month, we have complained to 100 and even tweeted to the police but there has been no action.

We mumbaiets get just one day a week to spend with our families and that too is disturbed with the very loud music and announcements made from 7 am to 7 pm. Loudspeakers certainly takes away the right of the citizens to speak with others, their right to read or think, right to sleep. There may be heart patients or patients suffering from nervous disorder may be compelled to bear this serious impact of sound pollution which has had an adverse effect on them.

There is already Supreme Court ruling or law prohibiting loud noise but enforcement of the rules are even more important.
