If you have been in a domestic abuse situation, no matter if that abuse was Violent, Physical, Mental or sexual, when you finally get away and report what has happened if the time scale is over 6 months the police at the moment will not charge the Offender even with evidence, this has to change the same as rape and murder Offenders can be convicted after a time scale on these but not on assault etc , this law needs to be changed for the safety of others going forward.  
I wish too do everything in my power to get this law changed as myself and my family have been in this situation and even with evidence and audio confession of assault still I feel powerless I do not wish for anyone to every go through this, they shouldn’t have too. 
Please take 2 minutes to sign this Petition let me do what I can too help protect others and their families. 
People do not need to live in fear when they have escaped , they should be supported. 
Hopefully if I can make a start here I can at least try my hardest pushing this law change so that no one will suffer in silence.
