Our little out of town community oval is being set up as a 'Temporary POD Housing site' 

This action is being taken on by NSW Resilience without any consultation with the local community. The community has been left in the dark only to find out from a Primary School Newsletter that was sent out and a resident parent from the school notifying us via Social Media platforms such as; Facebook (which not many of the local community members have)

The location of this POD site is in extremely close proximity to a non-secure out of town Primary School on an extremely busy and dangerously unsafe conditioned like main road for not only local traffic, however semi-trailers travelling between Woodburn and Lismore along with other non local traffic using the road as a shortcut to surrounding suburbs within the Lismore LGA.

The site location also has NO access to water (all properties out this way are reliable on Tank Water),  NO sewerage, and the site itself has NO Power, No Public Transport, NOT close to any shops. This space is also a home to our Koalas, a Rare Frog species, Trees that are in fact a protected species planted by past farmers who no longer are here to support what they called a community space.

Resilient NSW has also not provided any of the local community with any written documentation to state the scope of works being carried out and when these works are 'meant to start'. The letter in which only the school was provided also states the 'Site Address' as a completely different location. However work is already being undertaken at the Tregeagle Oval and is on the move quite quickly.

If you do not agree with this please sign and help the community of Tregeagle save their one bit of community shared land they have for not just the School and its little community but the surrounding communities who enjoy using this space on their afternoons and weekends should it be with family or friends.
