World over GST on Garments worn by the Common Man is always at the lowest slab. In India clothes priced below Rs.1000 were taxed at 5%. Now the Council is raising this rate to 12% - nearly 150% increase, with likely increase to 15%. Is it correct to raise taxes for a commodity used by the common man by 150% to 300%???

And all this being done to help just a miniscule section comprising not more than 15% of the Textile Industry, GST Council is increasing prices of 85% of the industry.
All Consumers request the Prime Minister to personally intervene to stop this increase of rates.
