The flooding of the Mosquito Creek

For years, residents of Fyzabad, Oropouche, Rousillac, La Brea, Point Fortin and all adjoining villages have suffered due to the lack of innovative engineering solutions for the troublesome Mosquito Creek. This 2.8 kilometer stretch of road tortures commuters on a regular basis due to the following:

1) An ineffective Sea Wall.

2) An inefficient drainage system.

3) Poorly engineered roads and bridges.

This is one of two (2) MAJOR thoroughfares joining the South Western Peninsula with the rest of the country and citizens have been faced with this issue for far too long.

I would like to call on the Minister of Works and Transport, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the MP's of Fyzabad, La Brea and Point Fortin to jointly address this long overdue situation.
